About us

BKS is an amalgamation of BK and South & Co solicitors. BK was set up by Yode Alli Balogun and Martin Kirvan in October 1995 and South & Co was set up in 1994 by Karen South in Chancery Lane. Both companies had the aim of providing good quality and competitive advice to individual clients.

The founding partners of BKS ensured that with an emphasis on a quality service and the careful recruitment of experienced quality staff they have rapidly acquired an enviable presence and good reputation in South East London.

Two additional partners joined BKS and brought with them their own expertise. Due to the committment and diligence of Vinod Sharma, the matrimonial department at the Penge office has expanded apace, as have the property and commercial departments at our Central London office under the guidance of Matthew Stubbs. Both Vinod and Matthew have helped spread the firm's reputation into the City as well as North and East London.

BKS has continued to expand and in April 2002 opened a new office in Catford. This office has been specially refurbished and designed to project the firm's young dynamic image. As a result the firm has an even stronger presence in South East London since Peter Green joined the Partnership and thus BKS has expanded to become a six partner firm.

BKS employs a total of 20 staff, all dedicated to the BKS ethos of quality service. The firm ensures that training is offered to all members of staff and encourages its employees to work as a team so as to enable a more efficient and streamlined service and so that clients may make appointments at the office closest to them.

The firm continues to provide service in specialist areas of law, namely: Residential Conveyancing, Commercial Conveyancing, Family, property, Civil Disputes, Wills/Probate, Employment, Private Client and Agency.
